Past the airport is the small town of Padang Matsirat where the very unsatisfactory Beras Terbakar or Field of Burnt Rice can be found in the Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest and at the same time.
A visit to Langkawi is a fantastic place for a panoramic view of the total complex.
